APPETIZERS

 


1. Drunken Shrimp: marinated with rum lime chili and cilantro sauce skewered on a sugar cane stick, and served with tri color sauce. $7.95

 

2. Perkedel corn fritters: one of our signature dishes. Four yellow sweet corn fritters spiced with onions, parsley and chili, accompanied by a spicy garlic and basil sauce.  V  $4.95

 

3. Sate: the Asian kebab! Marinated with roasted coriander seed, honey and light soy sauce. Dip to taste these four skewers in an authentic Javanese peanut sauce. Choose between chicken $6.95 or beef $7.95 ♠

 

4. Brie gula jawa: Two puff pastry envelopes stuffed with brie and palm nectar chunks, and mandarin orange peel with a dusting of fresh grated nutmeg. Believe it or not this is not a dessert V $5.95

 

5.  Pandan chicken: four pieces of golden brown fried chicken tied with Pandan leaves and served with a sweet/sour cilantro sauce $4.95

 

6.  Roti canai: traditional Malaysian super thin wheat pancake served with creamed coconut yellow chicken curry. Tear off pieces of the pancake, dip in the sauce and enjoy!  $4.25

 

7. Chicken curry puff: chicken and potato are lightly spiced with red curry paste and wrapped in a pastry shell.  These two puffs are served with a sweet/sour sauce and a cucumber /onion/ acar pickle mix.  $4.95

 

8.  Tod man pla: four spicy Thai fish cakes with sweet and sour cucumber dip, all of which is topped off with a sprinkling of crushed peanuts.  $5.50

 

 9.  Vegetarian or Pork Dumpling: four hand-made dumplings dipped into soy ginger sauce V $4.25

 

10.    Pandan Room sampler: nine pieces of assorted house appetizer    medley $9.45

 

11.    Pandan Room Sampler Volume II:  roti canai, a brie gula  2 creamy crab canapé, and 2 spring rolls $10.45

12.     Tom Yum Kong: Tamarind and chili soup flavored with lemongrass and lime leaves, simmered with mushrooms, shrimp and topped with fresh cilantro V $4.95  Large size with seafood $8.95

 

13.     Tom Kha Gai: very light coconut milk chicken soup brewed with lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves,   topped with fresh cilantro V $4.45

 

14.     Sayur Asam: an Indonesian sour soup with chayote, carrots, long beans, and seasonal vegetables topped with fried shallot. Very refreshing! V $4.25

 

15.     Indomie:  Indonesia’s most popular noodle. A thin egg noodle cooked in a chicken broth containing poached eggs and green vegetables V $7.95,  Seafood $9.50

17.    Sumatran beef rendang: Indonesia’s most popular dish. Slowly cooked beef pot roast, simmered in coconut milk with ten, (yes ten!), kinds of exotic spices served with rice. $10.95 ♠

 

18.    Thai Red, or Yellow curry: simmered with bamboo shoots, long beans, and seasonal vegetable. Choose between beef, chicken or shrimp. Comes with a side of rice. V $7.95 ♠

 

19.    Balinese Or Massaman Curry: V $8.95

 

20.    Lombok tilapia:  marinated with coriander, fennel, and nutmeg lightly grilled Tilapia fillet served with tomato/basil/chili sweet soy chutney accompanied with ginger yam puree. ♠$7.95

 

21.     Pad thai: Thai noodles sautéed with chicken, shrimp and a spiced tamarind sauce topped with crushed peanuts V♠ $7.95

 

22.    Nasi goreng: a fried rice dish with traditional chili shallot paste, chicken strips, fresh green vegetables served with shrimp cracker V♠  $6.95

 

23.    Asiago burger:  half pounder burger with Asiago cheese, basil and tomato served with sweet potato fries $7.95

 

25.    Sate combo: 2 skewers sate of beef and chicken, served with bamboo pouch sticky rice.  Comes with Acar pickle and a Javanese style peanut dipping sauce $8.95
